Manager Jenni Izumi rubbishes the rumours of Biz Markie’s death; Says, “It is not true”

Marcel Theo Hall is an American rapper, singer, DJ, record producer, actor, comedian, and writer known as Biz Markie.
His single “Just a Friend” in the year 1989 helped him become a prominent personality. He is also known as “The Clown Prince of Hip Hop.”
The Hip-Hop legend fell into a diabetic coma a few months ago. He was earlier hospitalized for diabetes complications and then suffered a stroke. In 2014, he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

At that time Markie told ABC News that, “I wanted to live. Since I have to be a diabetic, If I didn’t make the changes, it was going to make the diabetes worse. I’m trying to get off [the Diabetes meds]. The way you gotta do it is lose the weight. I’m off half my meds, I just got to get off the rest.”

He further added, “They said I could lose my feet. They said I could lose body parts. A lot of things could happen.”

Jenni Izumi, the manager of Markie told the USA Today, “The news of Biz Markie’s passing is not true. Biz is still under medical care, surrounded by professionals who are working hard to provide the best healthcare possible. At this time, we ask for your continued thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
“Biz’s wife and family are touched by the outpouring of love and admiration from his friends, peers and fans alike.”
