Horimiya Season 2 Release Date: Everything You Need To Know

As soon as it premiered in early 2021, ‘Horimiya’ became an international sensation. The sweet love story between two high school students who are diametrically opposed won over many fans.

The anime series is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Hiroki Adachi under the pseudonym Hero, which was released in Japan in 1997 and 1998.

An attractive girl and an awkward guy, who have very different lives outside of school, are the subjects of this film. While promising each other to keep their secrets hidden, they ended up falling in love in the process.

Although the anime series came to a definitive and happy conclusion, fans are hoping to see more of their love story in the future. Do you know whether or not the second season of ‘Horimiya’ will be produced? We know the following information.

Horimiya Season 2 Release Date

Season 2 of the anime has not yet been renewed, and it is possible that it will have a difficult time returning. The first season brought the story of the series to a close. There were no cliffhangers or secrets left to be revealed at the end of the book. Because of the well-rounded conclusion, it’s possible that the show will not return for season 2, simply because there is no more story to tell at this point.

Additionally, the anime adaptation kept up with the plot of the manga series, which was a pleasant surprise. After the manga concluded with the publication of chapter 122 in March 2021, there will be no more source material for a new season to be produced.

About Horimiya Season 1

A high school love story is always the purest form because it shrinks as all of the negativity is absorbed into the positive aspect, thereby enriching the positive aspect. Horimiya, on the other hand, has portrayed the same. The Horimiya is the story of a popular girl named Kyoko Hori, who is the main character. Her social standing was demonstrated by the fact that she was ranked relatively popular among her classmates.

On the other hand, the story also mentions Izumi Miyamura, who was both dull and extroverted in his appearance. Hori, on the other hand, keeps her individuality hidden from everyone. Her desire to stay at home with her younger brother, Souta, stemmed from the fact that she was extremely well-liked. Kyoko Hori and Izumu Miyamura, on the other hand, are both students at the same high school.

Meanwhile, the story takes a turn when Souta and Miyamura return home after dressing in an unconventional manner. Both Hori and Miyamura eventually reached an agreement on the importance of helping each other while maintaining their individual identities. As time progresses, both of them find themselves falling in love with one another.

Horimiya Season 2 Expected Plot

In ‘Horimiya,’ the plot revolves around a beautiful and popular young lady named Kyoko Hori and an introverted and shy young man named Izumi Miyamura. Despite the fact that they attended the same high school, their social standing and attitudes are diametrically opposed. Nevertheless, their school personalities have been carefully constructed in order to conceal their true identities outside of the four walls of the academic institution. In contrast to the nerdy Izumi, who lives a more adventurous life and dresses in punk style, complete with earrings and tattoos, when he is out in the fresh air. Souta’s younger sister Kyoko, on the other hand, dresses down and takes care of her younger brother.

The two come across each other outside of school, and after learning about each other’s secrets, they make a pact to keep the information from their classmates at school. As the story progressed, the two became increasingly attracted to one another. They finally confess their feelings for each other near the end of the film, and their friends accept and support their relationship. In the final episode of the series, the two were seen celebrating their high school graduation together.
