Cobra Kai Season 5 cast:

Despite the fact that the season 5 cast hasn’t been formally announced, it’s a guarantee that some characters will return. For starters, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence are guaranteed to return, which indicates that Ralph Macchio and William Zabka will be returning as well. Courtney Henggeler and Vanessa Rubio, who played Amanda LaRusso and Carmen Diaz, will almost certainly return.

Then a comeback of the main antagonist is almost a certainty. Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) and John Kreese (Martin Kove) are expected to return in season 5 (after a possible prison time, of course – more on that in a bit).

Although the two of them have buried their hatchets in some way and are working together it is only natural. Jon revealed this to TV Line in an interview. While Johnny’s long-time opponent Daniel is making an impression on Miguel—whom Johnny considers to be a surrogate son in certain ways—Johnny worries that Daniel may be the new role model Miguel is looking to instead of him.

There will be “a lot of storylines that start spinning very rapidly and very furiously as we enter next season,” showrunner Josh Heald said later.

This isn’t even close! During an interview with ScreenRant in early December 2021, Cobra Kai co-creator Josh Heald stated that Season 5 was “absolutely not the end” and that they had already begun planning for the season after that (assuming Netflix continues to renew the show).

Here’s the full quote:

We have more beyond Season 5. We are not writing to the end of the series in Season 5 right now. We can’t believe we’ve filmed two seasons of the show this year. In our minds, it’s crazy to believe how far ahead of the story we are than what the audience has seen so far. Season 5 is another enormous season with a lot of new flavours and a lot of things that you haven’t seen before yet on the show. And it’s not the end.”
