BTS charts No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 for the ninth consecutive week

The biggest boy band in the world has set numerous records, broken years old records and has even broken their own records. There is no stopping them. And with their newest release “Butter” and Permission to Dance,” they are making history! BTS charts at No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 for the ninth consecutive week.

With this commendable result, BTS also becomes the first act in history to replace themselves at Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row.

“Butter” which was released on May 21, debut on Billboard Hot 100 and charted on Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks, until BTS was replaced by BTS with their most current release “Permission to Dance”. “Butter” returned to No.1 spot on for an eighth weel total and tied with Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers license” as the longest-running No.1 song in 2021, so far.

For the chart dated July 31, “Permission to Dance” attained the seventh spot, “Butter” at No.1.

BTS is also the fifth duo/group to replace themselves at No.1 on the Hot 100 chart after The Beatles, Boyz II Men, Outkast and Black Eyed Peas.

There is certainly no stopping BTS and ARMY’s!

“Butter” officially returns to the top spot with commendable  115,600 downloads sold, which is a 132% up, with 30.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, which is  2% up and 8.8 million U.S streams in the week ending July 22.  It is also interesting to note that last week “Permission to Dance ” was No.1 and “Butter” was No.7 and the roles have been reversed this week.
