The Sandman Netflix Release Date Confirmed: First Look, Trailer, Cast And More

Entertainment

Neil Gaiman’s books have been turned into successful live-action shows like Good Omens on Amazon, Lucifer on Netflix, and American Gods on Starz. Now, a new series on Netflix called The Sandman will add to Gaiman’s fame.

In July 2016, Deadline said that Warner Bros. TV’s series based on Gaiman’s DC Comic would be made into a Netflix show. Gaiman and David Goyer, who has worked on other DC movies like The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, and Krypton, will be the show’s executive producers. Allan Heinberg, who has worked on shows like “Wonder Woman” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” will be the showrunner and writer for “The Sandman.”

The Netflix original series was supposed to start filming in May 2020, but the Coronavirus pandemic put those plans on hold. In the meantime, an Audible version of The Sandman had been released. It was read by actors like Riz Ahmed and James McAvoy, which made people even more excited for the Netflix series.

Neil Gaiman said on his Twitter account that they had started filming on October 15, 2020. He also said that announcements about the cast would be coming soon.

Now that Netflix users know the series is coming, everyone wants to know when The Sandman will be out.
