The once upon a time secret daughter of King Albert II attended a military parade in front of the Royal Palace on Wednesday that is part of Belgium’s National Day celebrations. Princess Delphine of Belgium, 53, rocked a funky outfit — a dress featuring geometric shapes with a matching hat and face mask. She completed her look in green heels. She attended the event with her husband, James O’Hare, and other family members. This parade marks her first time attending a royal event as a princess. Her Royal Highness enjoyed watching her step-niece take part in the military parade with the rest of her unit from Belgium Military Academy, another reason why this National Day was a celebration. The future Queen of the country, Crown Princess Elisabeth, was also seen on the day of celebrations by participating in the parade. Following a seven-year lengthy court battle, a DNA test taken in January 2020 gave a clear confirmation that Delphine is the daughter of King Albert II. Although Delphine’s mother, Baroness Sybille de Selys Longchamps, was not married to the former king, a court in Brussels stated that Delphine has the same legal rights as his other children, including a royal title.
