How Did Picard Season 2 End?

“Farwell,” the season two finale of Picard, doesn’t seem like a big deal at first. It’s important because two major characters were written out of the show, and a longtime favorite from the next show was killed off.

Afterward, Picard and his friends have to figure out how to get back to the year 2401. Good thing Q (John de Lancie) wants to be nice and sends everyone back to a slightly different version of the present as his last act before dying. This is how it works: To be clear, the space god Q has died.

In this episode, we learned that the mysterious hooded Borg Queen from the first episode, “The Star Gazer,” is actually Agnes Jurati (Alison Pill), who is 400 years old and in charge of a more benevolent Borg. They are trying to stop some kind of explosive galactic phenomenon from destroying a few planets.

Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) later tells Picard that Rios died in the past while fighting for medical supplies. Rios is still alive in the 21st century, but he died in the past while fighting for medical supplies. Finally, Picard (Orla Brady) meets up with Laris (Orla Brady) and assures her not to leave him, which rekindles their relationship in the end. Season 2 comes to an end at the end of its finale, which leaves a lot of people wondering what Season 3 will be about.
