Previous Canadian design magnate Peter Nygard will be removed to the U.S. to confront sex dealing and racketeering charges in New York.
On Friday morning, legal advisors for the Attorney General of Canada said Nygard, 80, has agreed to committal and that he will be removed to the U.S.
U.S. specialists blame him for capitalizing on his leverage in the style business to bait ladies and young ladies with the guarantee of demonstrating gigs and other monetary freedoms. He faces nine includes in the Southern District of New York. He has denied all claims.
Nygard was captured at his home in Winnipeg on Dec. 14, 2020, under the Extradition Act.
None of the charges have been demonstrated in court.
Greenspan tells court Nygard maintains his innocence and that by consenting to the extradition it will allow his client to answer to charges in the U.S. and and raise his defence.
