NCIS Season 19 Ep 17 Recap

The seventeenth episode of NCIS Season 19 premiered on March 28, 2022, and was titled “Starting Over.” In the episode, NCIS was tasked with investigating the suicide of a retired Navy officer named Thomas Miller, who had jumped to his death from the top of a building. Despite this, Jimmy revealed that he had been murdered following a postmortem examination, which revealed that he had wounds to his forehead from a blow. Miller’s wife Olive and her brother Martin, who were the closest members of the Miller family, were interrogated by the team.

They learned the identity of Richard Jordan from them, who was subject to a restraining order because he had threatened to kill Miller on several occasions. He held Miller responsible for the death of his daughter, whom he believed had been killed in the crash in which Miller had been saved by Miller.

But after meeting with him, McGee was given Richard’s contact information, whom he suspected of being behind Miller’s death after receiving an anonymous text message demanding money in exchange for his daughter’s release. However, his daughter had already passed away, suggesting that it was possibly some con artists. An interesting development occurred later in the case when a complaint was filed against another Thomas Miller in another location, and Knight and Parker went to speak with the woman who had lodged the complaint. Unexpectedly, the woman identified as Nina turned out to be Miller’s other wife, demonstrating that the man was leading a double life. She informed them that he had been with her at the market but had abruptly taken off in his truck with her.

As a result, they checked the footage from the security cameras in the area and discovered Richard. His confession came after he was summoned to the police station for questioning: he had gone to meet Miller because he had not returned his calls, but a silver SUV had startled Miller, and he bolted. The team eventually discovered that Martin’s SUV belonged to Miller, and Martin admitted that he had seen Miller with Nina and his child and had pursued him. He did, however, claim that he did not kill him. McGee and Knight, on the other hand, presented him with evidence that his DNA had been found on the tool that had been used to strike Miller.

As a result, he did everything he could to deceive and demanded a lawyer. They were certain it wasn’t Martin, however, because it was clear that he was attempting to protect someone. It turns out that Olive was the one who confronted Miller about his other wife and child, causing him to lose his cool and eventually hitting him, causing him to fall off the roof. As soon as the case was closed, Nick flew to Hawaii to meet Jane just as the authorities were apprehending the missing witness. The episode, on the other hand, ended on a cliffhanger when they began to receive shots from all directions, and the witness died as a result. Furthermore, their car was struck as well and rolled over.
