About Cursed Films Season 2

Shudder has announced that they will be expanding their reach beyond North American horror films and into non-Western films in the near future. It is possible that the season will be devoted to a specific location, though this has not yet been confirmed by the studio. In light of the fact that folk horror is currently one of the most popular subgenres, it is possible that the series will explore curses and films that are based on folklore.

Cursed Films Season 2 Expected Plot

While Shudder is expanding its reach beyond North America with its new line-up of cursed films, rumors have circulated online that Rosemary’s Baby (1968) may make an appearance in the new line-up. Although Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, was rumored to have played the devil in Roman Polanski’s film, this was later denied, it is possible that the Black Pope was involved in the film’s curse. In addition to The Amityville Horror (1979), The Possession (2012), and even James Wan’s highly successful paranormal film and franchise, The Conjuring (2001), there are other North American films with curses (2013).

Season 2 of the Shudder docuseries could feature a variety of films, some of which might even be good enough to warrant a third season. At this time, there have been no official announcements regarding which films will be included in the festival, nor have there been any reports of non-Western films being included in the lineup. Cursed Films is back for season 2 and will undoubtedly reveal the truth behind some of the most infamous curses in the history of horror.

Cursed Films Season 2 Cast

Shudder officially announced on July 6, 2020, that their original series Cursed Films will return for a second season, with Jay Cheel serving as the show’s director. The show features an assortment of allegedly cursed horror films, as well as interviews with the cast and crew about the subject matter. Here’s everything we know so far about Cursed Films season 2 so far.

It was an instant hit when season 1 premiered on April 2, 2020, and it drew the attention of horror fans and critics from all subgenres when it debuted. Poltergeist (1982), The Omen (1976), The Exorcist (1973), The Crow (1994), and Twilight Zone: The Movie was among the films featured (1983). The docuseries focused on some of the most infamous curses in the genre, which plagued the post- and pre-production stages of each film. In the case of The Omen, for example, season 1, episode 2 explored the alleged devil’s blessing on the set during the early stages of production when a series of bizarre plane malfunctions hampered development.

Cursed Films took the mythology that surrounded each of these films and explored it in a clear and concise manner in order to debunk the possibility of a curse or to express a different point of view on the subject. Every episode was shocking in its own way, but what was most shocking about them all was how much insight the cast and crew provided into the difficulties of making sequels and releasing the films in general. Season 2 of Cursed Films may feature different films, but it may also return to and expand on the curses that were introduced in season 1.
