In the anime world, there are numerous types of demi-humans known as “dere.” Most of you have probably heard the phrase “tsundere.”

According to the anime, it is one of several ‘dere’ varieties that may be found in almost all anime.

If you haven’t heard of the various types, or you’ve only heard some of them, this post is for you since it will teach you about all of the distinct ‘dere’ sorts available, including those that are little-known by many individuals. The track will also include the names of the characters and the anime they originated from, allowing you to have a visual indication of what kind of ‘dere’ looks like.

Types in Anime and Manga Explained by Here

1.Tsundere

Kyou Souma (Fruits Basket), Rin Tohsaka (Fate/Stay Night), and Kurisu Makise (Steins; Gate) are three examples.

The expression “tsundere” should be familiar to you, as it was mentioned in the introduction. Tsundere characters are one of the most frequent dere types, appearing in practically every anime format. In the vast majority of romance anime, they are usually the primary characters. So, what’s a tsundere?

In general, tsunderes are people who appear cold and harsh on the surface but warm and loving on the inside. The term tsundere is used to describe people who are unable to display the warmth of their heart to others. They might be as harsh as a chalkboard or as gentle as an angel’s caress, but they can go anywhere in between.

2.Deredere

Yui Yuigahama (Oregairu), Kaga Kouko (Golden Time), and Rikka Takanashi (Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions!) are examples of anime series that use this structure.

What’s the difference between double double and a twin? Deredere characters are outgoing, joyous, caring, and polite. They may also be amusing. They exhibit the darker side of themselves in front of the people they care about, but they can have a typical social connection with others. This is another frequent form that may be seen in a variety of genres, especially in romance comedy anime.

3.Kuudere

Kuudere, on the other hand, is the polar opposite of Deredere. Derere is a happy and enthusiastic personality, whereas Kuudere is more of a cool, calm, and collected type. They are unemotional in public. People with social anxiety disorder may be uncomfortable in social situations or places where they are expected to interact with others. Even though their feelings might be hidden deep down in their hearts, they just don’t know how to communicate them to others.

4.Yandere

Around the year 2002, two of the most popular anime series for teens were Bleach and Kiddy Grade. While they are comparable in terms of popularity, they have little in common other than their young target audience.

Yandere characters are those who go to great lengths for love. They’re loving and devoted to the people they care about at first. Later, it will grow too strong, and the beautiful romantic love they once felt will become a violent one. They will be overly cautious, and things will eventually devolve into violence and savagery.

[[Yandere characters are mentally unstable, and they often express their feelings and emotions in a very violent, vicious, and savage way.]]

5.Dandere

Sengoku Nadeko (Bakemonogatari), Nagisa Furukawa (Clannad) and Hitori Bocchi are examples of this.

Dandere characters are often shy, quiet, fearful, and antisocial. They have anxiety disorders, which makes it difficult for them to interact with others, especially if they are strangers. They have a lot of trouble producing words, are easily embarrassed, and will only speak when necessary.

These characteristics are only effective if she’s with people she doesn’t know or isn’t familiar with enough. She will be more outgoing and talkative when she’s with the one she’s comfortable with.

6.Bakadere

Example: Yui Hirasawa (K-On! Yashiro Nene (Toilet Bound Hanako-kun! The illusory wall was updated to include a small, yellow bell in the center of the letter “A”. The symbol contains many subtle changes since its introduction. Atsuko Kagari (Little Witch Academia) and Anju Mishra (My Hero Academia) are two notable examples.

The first five of these seven are the major dere types, while the rest are subtypes that branched off from the main ones and will most likely resemble them.

[[Just as the name suggests, Bakadere characters have a baka brain.]] [[They are stupid and clumsy at the same time.]] The first step toward repairing your credit is to recognize the damage you’ve done. The problem with this approach is that bad debt prevention requires a level of common sense that most people lack. Because of how klutz they can be most of the time, Bakadere may also be used to refer to the word “childish.” They’re frequently taken advantage of or seen as a target for taunting by other people since they’re such airheads.

If you’re a fan of anime with a Bakadere as the protagonist, there are two possible outcomes to your experience. [[They can either make you laugh your ass off or make you feel annoyed because their stupidity can be way beyond your reach.]]

7.Bocchandere

For narrative examples, Chuuya Nakahara (Bungou Stray Dogs), Ciel Phantomhive (Kuroshitsuji), and Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu (Danganronpa) are a few of the most well-known characters to have been introduced in this way.

The term Bocchan is a pet name for children that is used by servants to address their young masters, so Bocchandere might be interpreted as characters who are affiliated with a gang, whether yakuza or mafia. They act as if they are better than everyone else, but this act will come to an end the minute they discover someone whom they wish to protect at all costs.

8.Goudere

Like in, Tohru with Kobayashi (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid), Teruhashi Kokomi with Saiki Kusuo (Saiki Kusuo No Psi-nan), and Ikaros with Tomoki Sakurai (Sora no Otoshimono), these characters share their namesakes.

A Goudere may appear to be your ideal partner on the surface, but you may not wish to marry a ‘Goudere’ as your soulmate. Why?

Goudere people are recognized for their intense love for their partners. They have a master-slave mentality and will go to any length to make their partner happy without considering what he wants. They will do or obtain anything for their loved ones, making them virtually invincible. It might make the love interest anxious or even put him/her in danger.

Goudere is a cross between tsundere and yandere. Goudere characters are tough and harsh like a tsundere, yet have an unwavering commitment to their partner that would lead them to do anything at any cost, much like a yandere.

9.Himedere

For instance, Erina Nakiri (Food Wars!) from the example above). Saki Fukuda (Assassination Classroom), Ayame Reikadou (Noucome)

Himedere is a site that focuses on presenting “princess culture” as an alternative, more feminine version of Japanese pop-culture. The women in Himedere are simply characters who want to be treated like a princess by their male companion, even if they aren’t a real princess. They are overbearing bosses who enjoy giving orders or instructions to everyone around them. They prioritize themselves over others, just as they do with their own needs.

10. Hinedere

Hachiman Hikigaya (Oregairu), Houtarou Oreki (Hyouka), and Deishuu Kaiki (Monogatari Series) are three examples of people who could be mistaken for each other.

They are two distinct dere kinds, despite the fact that their names are related. Hinedere characters are usually male, with a pessimistic perspective on society. They’re typically conceited and callous, but when they encounter the one who appeals to them on an emotional level, they have a sensitive and kind side.

They’re usually despised by a lot of individuals, even those that are close to them or their loved ones. It’s only natural that a lot of things would be different about them, as they’re from a different planet. They put emotion aside in order to focus on the most reasonable solution when problems occur.

11. Oujidere

Lelouch vi Britannia (Code Geass), Yuga Aoyama (Boku no Hero Academia), and Ciel Phantomhive (Black Butler) are three examples of male characters that take after this trend.

The same qualities are found in Oujidere characters as were previously seen in Himedere, with the exception that they are now possessed by male characters. They want their partner to treat them like a king. They’re full of themselves and want to be treated as royalty.

12. Kamidere

The name of the person who held their hands over their face.

Kamidere raises the bar for both Hinedere and Oujidere. They want to be perceived as perfect beings or even God by others, despite the fact that in some situations, they are simply ordinary humans. They share the same characteristics as Hinedere, but they can be more arrogant, self-absorbed, and avaricious at times.

13. Kanedere

Ami Kawashima (Toradora!) is an example.) Skyward Sword) are just a few examples.

Kanedere characters are gold diggers by definition, derived from the term ‘Okane.’ In the anime world, as in the real one, gold diggers abound. They only go for the high-status and wealthy. If they don’t discover a profit in that someone, they’ll ignore them.

However, if they ever discover someone who means a great deal to them and whom they can truly love, these characteristics may be muted. With that in mind, they require someone who can act as a spark to help them improve.

14. Darudere

Hikari Sakishima (Nagi no Asukara), Umaru Doma (Himouto! Umaru-chan), Oreki Hotaro (Hyouka)

Lazy and unimaginative, two terms that already apply to Darudere personalities in general. They seldom listen to others and do whatever they want unless someone they care about asks them for a favor. When they are alone, which is the case most of the time, they tend to sit in class and do nothing in particular. They don’t express themselves much in public.

For Dardere, it is a must to complain. They live to complain. They’ll do whatever their loved one asks them to, but they’ll find something to gripe about along the way.

15. Nemuidere

The protagonist is Morio Asaka, a high school boy who has been chosen for the talent of predicting the future. He lives in Karasuma Town, and his father works as a researcher at Maboroshi University. His mother died when he was young, so his father raised him on his own since then. Shiki M The three largest names in the world of professional wrestling are Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Rob Van Dam. Ronda Rousey is extremely talented when she steps into the ring for a MMA fight. She defeated Miesha Tate in her last bout. As for WWE Superstar Nikki Bella, she took another step forward to becoming the first woman Div

Nemuidere, on the other hand, appears to be similar to Darudere, but they are in fact two distinct varieties.

Nemuidere characters are individuals who make “sleeping” their most important task. They sleep as a pastime, and they take naps in nearly every scenario, whether on purpose or by accident. They’re not sluggish, despite their propensity. They don’t do it out of laziness, but they do it because they like or feel compelled to.

This is what sets Nemuidere apart from Darudere. It appears that Derende is awake for the most part, but it doesn’t negate the fact that they are slothful.

16. Usodere

I’m sure that there are many more examples.

They lie and employ ruses to entice their significant other. They put on a false front in order to deceive their crush into thinking they have a genuine personality. The most common reason for this is because they wish to win their lover’s affection.

The problem with characters like this is that they are too good at lying, to the point where you can’t tell what’s real anymore. You will find it difficult to trust and believe them after you discover the true nature of their actions.

17. Erodere

Ayame Kajou (Shimoneta), Minoru Mineta (Boku No Hero Academia), and Toritsuka Reita (Saiki Kusuo No Psi-nan) are the examples.

[[Erodere, in general, are characters who act perverted, seductive, and lustful in front of others.]] On the outside, they may appear to be firecrackers, but once you get to know them, you’ll discover a romantic, sweet, and caring side of them inside.

18. Hiyakasudere

Hayase Nagatoro, Holo, Shuuya Kano

You should already have an idea of what Hiyakasudere’s characteristics are based on your previous viewing of Nagatoro-san. Hiyakasudere is a more refined and delicate version of Erodere. Although they have the same foundation, Erodere does not go as far as being perverted or seductive at least. Erodere are usually flirtatious and love to torment their lover. Usually, the reason they did it is that their partner gets embarrassed quickly, so erodere finds it amusing to torment them.

19. Yottadere

Yasuko Takasu, Vanessa Enotaca, Cana Alberona are just a few examples of legendary voice actresses appearing in anime.

Yui (Angel Beats), Kaori Miyazono (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso), and Nagisa Furukawa (Clannad)

They’re adorable and nice, but they have a horrible disease that makes them appear delicate and fragile almost all of the time. They aren’t overly aggressive, as they have a calm disposition. The fact that Byoukidere is a romance anime with an unhappy ending makes it sad and tear-jerking. Typically, they perish at the conclusion of such shows due to their incurable disease.

21. Kekkondere

An example of it is Neko Fujinomiya (Masamune-kun no Revenge), Yuzaki Nasa and Tsukuyomi/Yuzaki Tsukasa ( Tonikaku Kawaii ), Juvia Lockser with Gray Fullbuster (Fairy Tail) , or any other character in this situation

Yumehara Chiyo (Saiki Kusuo No Psi Nan), Marika Tachibana (Nisekoi), and Renge Houshakuji (Ouran HighSchool Host Club) are examples.

They exhibit their devotion by following their partner around, clung to them, and over-exaggerating when it comes to their reaction. This behavior might make their spouse uncomfortable.

23. Nyandere

Blair (Soul Eater), Ikuto Tsukiyomi (Shugo Chara), Black Hanekawa (Bakemonogatari) are examples of characters with a dark side.

A Nyandere character is someone who acts like a cat most of the time, as opposed to one who act like a human. For those of you who don’t know yet, the term Nyan is similar to meow in Japanese at least. They utter Nyan at the end of their phrases and use it as a term of endearment.

24. Oujodere

example – Nadeshiko Fujisaki (Shugo Chara!) Lelouch of the Rebellion) ,,Elizabeth Middleford (Black Butler)”

Oujodere, for example, would be one of the finest female options that any guy desires to marry out of all of these characters. They have everything you could desire. They’re sweet, tranquil, gracious, adorable, and behave like a fairy-tale princess. Deredere are considered to be the highest grade of Deres. They’re much finer than Deredere, but they still have a bit of roughness about them.

Oujodere personalities are warm and not conceited. Not only are they excessively proud, but also given to self-sacrifice. In front of others and their loved ones, they frequently lower themselves, despite the fact that they are not in any way low or worthless. Oujodere is a truly wonderful cat, and everyone would want to be his friend or even his partner.

25. Undere

Misa Amane (Death Note), Sakura Haruno (Naruto), and Soifon (Bleach) are some of the many examples.

Haru Fujita (Kamisama Kiss) is also a well-known example. Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon’s Mamoru Chiba, Rei Kiriyama from 3-gatsu no Lion, and Haruka Kotoura from Kotoura-san are other notable examples.

Utsudere and Shundere are similar, although Utsudere characters are more likely to have a genuine cause for their melancholy appearance. They didn’t have that sort of expression on a daily basis, but if they do, it will be written all over their face. It’s possible that they’re darker/unwanted because of their miserable history, although this is not always the case.

Hajidere, like Bokodere, is prone to blushing. They’re different from Bokodere in that they get more flustered when they’re around their crush, and unlike Bokodere, they don’t blame their blushes on him. They’ll usually try to conceal it from their significant other.

30. Dorodere

Luca Trulyworth (Ar tonelico II- Melody of Metafalica), Hanako-kun (Jibaku Shonen Hanako-kun), and Diodora Astaroth (High School DxD) are all examples.

They have a lot of hatred and bad feelings for others, even their lover. They will have something else up their sleeves at all times. Even more so than Yandere, Dorodere is the most hazardous member of his family.

31. Kichidere

Example: Aki Tsukino (Kotoura-san)

In the eyes of others, Kichidere individuals are unpredictable and insane, with the exception of their sweetheart. The protagonist will switch sides after he or she learns to love someone. The antagonist/villain in an anime is often a Mayadere character at first, but they will change their minds after discovering someone they can truly care about, typically the hero. They’re trying to screw up the protagonist in the first place, and they’ll go as far as wanting to kill him. They are more trusting of others, have better impulse control, are more likely to listen to parents and teachers, do chores independently, establish long-term goals for themselves, set limits for their own behavior with adults if they’re under the age of five years old.
