Mercedes Unveils Amg Gt Black Series In India

Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, which is powered by the most powerful AMG V8 series engine ever produced by AMG. The GT Black Series is priced from Rs 5.50 crores upwards, depending on particular configurations (all India ex-showroom pricing), and India’s two cars have already been sold.

The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is the most powerful Mercedes-AMG vehicle to date. The super sports vehicle is unique in that it can be used at high speeds on racetracks while being road legal.

On Friday, Martin Schwenk, managing director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, handed off the first AMG GT Black Series supercar in India. He said: “We are thrilled to deliver the first-ever AMG GT Black Series in India.”

India will receive two rare examples of the GT Black Series, powered by the most powerful AMG V8 series engine, with prices starting at Rs 5.50 crores, ex-showroom India.

What makes the Black Series the most powerful Engine?

Mercedes unveils AMG GT Black series Engine

The turbocharged 4-liter V8 engine in this Mercedes-AMG delivers 720 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque at 6700-6900 rpm. With a peak speed of 325 km/h, the sports vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in under 9 seconds.

The Black Series’ V8 has been so drastically changed in comparison to the standard GT that it has its own engine code. The Black series generates 143bhp and 100Nm torque more than the GT R Pro, which is the next quickest option. The engine sends power to the rear wheels using a 7-speed AMG Speedshift DCT 7G dual-clutch gearbox. For the AMG GT Black Series, the gearbox has been particularly upgraded.

The V8 engine is a better version of the previous type used in other AMGs because it has a racing-spec flat-plane crankshaft rather than a cross-plane unit, which allows for enhanced smoothness and more torque at low rotational speeds. Stronger turbos located on anti-friction bearings, a bigger intercooler, and an upgraded exhaust system are all part of the revised architecture.

The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is distinguished by its design, which is based on the GT3. The front splitter, bonnet, side-view mirrors, tailgate, side skirts, roof, rear diffuser, and rear wing are all constructed of carbon fiber in this enormous Black Series. It also has flaps that may be adjusted by 20 degrees on the top rear aerofoil blade.

Adjustable anti-roll bars (front carbon fiber, rear hollow steel), electrically adjustable dampers with three settings, manually adjustable ride height, and an underbody cross bracing are all available from AMG.

Inside the cabin, the Black Series has an exceptional degree of detail, making it outstanding. Leather and microfiber fabric with black and orange stitching, as well as matt black carbon fiber trim, make up the inside. Loop pull handles and a fire extinguisher are included in the weight-saving door panels.
