Doctor Strange 3 release date: When may Doctor Strange 3 hit theatres?
As was already said, Doctor Strange 3 hasn’t been confirmed yet, so we don’t know when it will come out.
Marvel has blocked out a few release dates in 2024 that could have been for the third movie. They are on February 16, 2024, July 26, 2024, November 8, 2024, and May 3, 2024.
But we think two years between movies is a little short, so we might have to wait longer than that for the third one. When we find out more, we’ll add to this.
Doctor Strange 3 plot:
As we’ll talk about below, the biggest cliffhanger in the second book is when Clea shows up in the multiverse and needs Strange’s help to fix an Incursion.
Unless it’s taken care of before the third movie, this is probably what the next Doctor Strange movie will be about. Then again, we thought the same thing when Mordo was hinted at in the after-credits scene of the first movie, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Now that the multiverse is definitely a thing in the MCU, the threequel could be about anything else. There are so many things that could happen, and the threequel could be affected by many other MCU projects.

Doctor Strange 3 couldn’t happen without Benedict Cumberbatch playing Steven Strange. Before hanging up their spandex, most Marvel stars have done three solo movies. Chris Hemsworth as Thor is the only one who hasn’t been killed yet.
Also, it’s hard to imagine a threequel without Sorcerer Supreme Wong, and since he usually shows up in other MCU movies, we think he’ll be around for a while.
Wanda, aka the Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, seems to have reached the end of her storyline with Doctor Strange, and she might even be dead after what happens in the sequel.
“It’s weird that I’m expecting to return but no one’s told me I’m doing anything! But in my mind, I’m just making the assumption that they’ll have me again. I don’t know to what capacity, but I hope I’m back,” Olsen said of her MCU future.
“I hope there’s also more fun to be had in something different. Where do we go? I feel like we’ve done so much with her. It’s been really a wild couple of years with her.”
Rachel McAdams could come back as Christine Palmer, and Xochitl Gomez could come back as America Chavez, who can go from one universe to another.
That doesn’t mean she can’t be in other movies, especially since we don’t know for sure if there will be a Young Avengers movie, in which she’d likely play a big part.
“I would love to continue to play her, of course. I’m just excited to see what the MCU has in store for her and her character growth,” Gomez Said
In the comics, Clea, played by Charlize Theron, was Strange’s love interest and would later become his wife. In the scene after the credits, she shows up as Clea. She wants him to help her fix a problem in the multiverse that he caused, and he agrees.
So Theron will definitely be in the third movie (if it happens), and she could also be in other projects.
Michael Waldron, who wrote Doctor Strange 2, said that Clea’s arrival was meant to put an end to Strange and Christine’s relationship.
“They have a lot of great adventures in the comics, and we knew we wanted to introduce her, but it felt like we had to close the book to some extent on his love story with Christine Palmer, Rachel McAdams’ character,” he noted.
