Top 10 highest-paid Korean actresses of all times

After two consecutive year wins of South Korea in the Academy Awards, Asian talent is now recognized globally. In recent years South Korean film industry has been making great strides. This film industry has produced several stars who earn load some money. We’re here counting down the top 10 highest-paid Korean actresses.

Here is a list of the top 10 highest-paid Korean actress of all times.

10. KimYoo-Jung– $16 million   At the very age of 21, she has secured a place at number 10 among the highest-paid actresses of South Korea with a whopping amount of $16 million. she rose to fame as a child artist when she did her acting debut in 2003 at just the age of three. She made her first leading role appearance in the historical drama Love in the Moonlight.  

In 2017, she ranked 8th on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list, the youngest to be included in the Top 10 at 17 years old. 

9. HanJi-min– $21 million

 She was featured in the 2018 mega-blockbuster movie crazy rich Asians. She donated her major earning for the welfare of children in North Korea. In 2012 she was designated as the goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Environment program.

 

8. KimTae-hee– $25 million

She is considered to be one of South Korea’s most beautiful women. She has been a cast member of one of the most popular Korean dramas. She made her acting debut in the 2001 melodrama the last present. She was also a prominent part of the huge success of Stairway to Heaven and Love story in Havard.  

7. ChoiJi-woo– $27.5 million          This veteran actress has made her appearance in many melodramas such as Beautiful Days (2001), Winter Sonata (2002), Stairway to Heaven (2003), The Suspicious Housekeeper (2013), and Temptation (2014), as well as the romantic comedy series Twenty Again (2015) and Woman with a Suitcase (2016).  

6. JunJi-hyun– $28 million       Jun Ji-Hyun is a South Korean actress and also a model who has been at the top of the list of the highest-paid Korean actresses. her most notable role was in the romantic comedy genre My Sassy Girl (2001) which is one of the highest-grossing Korean comedies.  

5. Bae Suzy – $30 million

She is an actress and a single from South Korea. She has been a part of the gold group Miss A under JYP Entertainment. She was a prominent cast member of the film the sound of a flower which was at least in 2015. Her album Class A was a great international success.  

4. IU – $31 million

This veteran singer-songwriter and actress has hosted a flag of success in the South Korean industry. she debuted as a singer at the age of 15 with her album Lost and Found. She’s also a radio and television host.  

3. GoHyun-Jung– $34 million 

One of the highest-rated uncritically acclaimed dramas in Korean television history is hourglass and Go Hyun-Jung was the star of that show. She had her debut in 1989 in the entertainment scene as a Miss Korea runner-up. She made approximately $49,000 in her recent drama, “Dear my Friends.”

She has been one of the highest-paid actresses of South Korea for a very long time. in 2018 she ranked 6th in the Forbes magazine Korea power celebrity list. She has also had a number of legal battles with the government and tax department of South Korea.
