Cast

Joseph Fiennes will not be reprising his role as Waterford, who was murdered by June and her fellow runaway handmaids at the conclusion of season 4 for his crimes. Anne-Marie Goossen as Aunt Ruth.

It’s unknown if the new ones will appear in a future season. The original novel does not have enough clues in the form of additional characters that will appear in later years, as the series has evolved its own path since season 2.

The fifth season of The Handmaid’s Tale is expected to feature the series’ main characters once again; here’s who we expect we’ll find.

  • Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne
  • Aunt Lydia is played by actress Ellen Dowd.
  • Serena Joy is played by Yvonne Strahovski.
  • [[O.T Fagbenle as Luke Bankole]]
  • Emily Malek is played by Alexis Bledel.
  • Rita Blue is played by Amanda Brugel.
  • Mark Tuello is played by Sam Jaeger.
  • Commander Joseph Lawrence is portrayed by Bradley Whitford.
  • Moira Strand is played by Samira Wiley.

Plot

The conclusion of the fourth season was a roller-coaster ride. Things changed rapidly from calm to chaotic. We saw Serena make arrangements to unwind in Canada with her husband, Commander Fred Waterford, in season 4 episode 10 of The Handmaid’s Tale, The Wilderness. He accepted a bargain offer to safeguard his and Serena’s safety. Serena, on the other hand, is eager to put their tumultuous legal history behind them and raise their child.

Now, here’s how Serena was supposed to be ruined. During the season, unknown to Serena, Mika’s adopted sister Micah (Maddie Klein) transfers her off to Gilead in place of a captive swap.

Elisabeth Moss stars in The Handmaid’s Tale, based on the 1985 novel by Margaret Atwood. Following her escape, Elisabeth (Osborne) and other former handmaids kill Fred (Tobias Menzies).

When Fred’s finger and wedding ring are thrown out the front of Serena’s locked chamber, things go from bad to worse.

Serena’s fate in Season 5 of The Handmaid s Tale is unresolved due to Fred’s death, as her independence and stability were contingent on his plea bargain.

Because she is self-absorbed, Serena will always choose the option that benefits her. The only person she has any loyalty to is no one but herself. Serena, according to Miller, will always prefer the straightforward solution and will not seek refuge in the United States.
