Kizuna AI: Touch The Beat! releasing early 2023 on PS5 and PS4

In an announcement made to the PlayStation Blog, developer Gemdrops stated that in early 2023, they would release Kizuna AI: Touch The Beat! for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 with a new “Non-VR Mode” and support for PlayStation VR and PlayStation VR2 devices. On October 12, 2020, Kizuna AI: Touch The Beat! was released as a VR-exclusive title for Quest devices.

Kizuna AI: Touch The Beat!, available for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, will be playable at the Happinet booth at Tokyo Game Show 2022, which takes place from September 15-18, 2022, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

What is The Kizuna AI game, Touch the Beat!?

It is artificial intelligence (AI) rhythm game where you can compete with Kizuna. New features, including a “Non-VR Mode” that allows players to participate without a VR headset, expand upon what was already accessible in the original Meta Quest.

The use of controller inputs breathes new life into the game and provides rhythm games a fresh sensation. Naturally, augmented and virtual reality gear are supported. In addition to the standard method of playing rhythm games in a VR setting, the game also has a unique “View Mode” that allows for a different experience entirely.

This grants you complete freedom of movement across each level’s environment. You can “meet Kizuna AI within the virtual space” if you play this game.

PlayStation VR and PlayStation VR2 compatible modes

The game may be played on VR headsets (it can be played without a virtual reality device too). PlayStation VR2 is scheduled for release in the first few months of 2023, and the PlayStation 5 version will be compatible with it. The game will feel more like a simple thing with this added feature.

In October 2020, Touch the Beat! was released exclusively for Oculus Quest as a virtual reality (VR) game. Upcoming PlayStation releases will be compatible with PlayStation VR 2 and the original PlayStation VR. So that players who do not have a virtual reality headset may still experience the game, the designers will implement a “Non-VR” mode.
