The royal couple on their Instagram page shared this post commemorating International Youth Day on Instagram.
They captioned the post as ‘ Young people inspire us every day through their ingenuity to bring about the change and their ability to generate collective action. That’s why this #InternationalYouthDay we celebrate young people’s drive and passion to help solve world’s biggest environmental challenges.’ They tagged the page @earthshotprize that educates us about the world problems via Instagram.
The future king and queen are quite active on the platform as they also posted about Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. The royal couple also recently achieved this major milestone of 13 million followers as they celebrated the eighth birthday of their son Prince George. They are the most followed royal couples according to Hello magazine.
After Prince William and Middleton, the runner-up is the family’s joint page (@TheRoyalFamily), which has 10.3 million followers. The next closest royals are Princess Eugenie and the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, who both have 1.5 million followers. (FYI: Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles share the @ClarenceHouse account.)
In May, William and Kate made a major change to their Instagram account’s name, changing it from @KensingtonRoyal to the much more personal @DukeandDuchessofCambridge. This royal account was officially launched in 2015.
