Harry Hamlin was born on October 30, 1951, in Pasadena, California, to Harry Robinson Hamlin and Mary Hamlin. In addition to being a socialite, his mother Bernice also worked as an aeronautical engineer for his father, Chauncey. A boarding school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, called The Hill School was where Harry went after graduating from Flintridge Preparatory School in Los Angeles.
