Around a month ago, Double Fine launched a new game called Psychonauts 2, and all the game enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting what the studio has in store for the sequel. Will the studio be working on a sequel to Brutal Legend? Let’s have a look at them one by one.

Since the release of part 1 of Brutal Legend, fans have been demanding a sequel to the game. As part of the game’s first portion, which was released in 2009 and starred Hollywood actor Jack Black, After the fan’s numerous requests, the director of Brutal Legend, Tim Schafer, has now released a few teasers regarding the game.

It’s been a while, but here’s an update on the future of the Brutal Legend series. Two days ago, he revealed some details regarding the sequel’s release.

Is Tim Schafer Working On A Sequel To His Previous Game, Brutal Legend?

Tim Schafer stated in an interview that they may begin working on the sequel to Brutal Legend immediately now that they’ve completed their work on Psychonauts 2.

When asked what he thought about the sequel to Brutal Legend, he wouldn’t deny its production but emphasized that it would be a really difficult job owing to numerous other factors.

The fifth season of SWAT will premiere on CBS in 2020, according to Deadline. The story is said to have a major twist, but it’s unclear whether the show will go back to its roots after that.

He also described the game as being difficult, stating that he was emotionally involved with the game since he liked the more than one player component and everyone was so enthusiastic about it.

He stated he is unsure which game they will create next. ‘It’s difficult for me to choose whether to make the game I want to make or the one that the fans desire them,’ further added de Vries.

Meanwhile, he never denied the notion of making a sequel to Brutal Legend, and it appears that Schafer was already thinking about working on other projects rather than continuing to work on the most-requested sequel by his fans. “On the 13th of October, I want to play Brutal Legend until the world recognizes how great it is,” he explained.

There are no immediate plans for Brutal Legend 2, according to game designer Tim Schafer.

Fans of the game have been waiting for a sequel to Brutal Legend for years, and it’s doubtful that they’ll get one. Double Fine has reportedly confirmed that the sequel to Brutal Legend will not be produced or published any time soon, according to the news.

The third season of the psychological thriller, “Mind Hunter,” is now in production.

One of the members who worked for Double Fine while they were making plans said this. According to reports, we won’t ever see the return of Brutal Legend 2.

However, Schafer demonstrated no real desire to work on the sequel, suggesting that this information may be true since he was more interested in working on fresh projects rather than the sequel for Brutal Legend.

In a nutshell, EA chose to end development of Brutal Legend 2. It was reported that the studio had rejected the sequel, implying that the original game wasn’t doing so well in terms of sales even after all of Jack Black’s support and involvement.

It’s understandable why Double Fine ultimately decided not to develop the sequel after announcing their new initiatives.
