Is Black Mirror season 6 Renewed?
The fifth season of Black Mirror came out on Netflix in June 2019, and since then, we haven’t heard much about the show’s future. But as of May 2022, we know for sure that season 6 of Black Mirror is being made. What a nice surprise to find when I woke up this morning!
Variety says on May 16 that Black Mirror is coming back, and they also say that casting is going on. Fans of the show know that each season has a different cast, with some actors appearing in more than one episode and others only in one or two scenes.
We thought the show might be over because the world has been going through some bad things, like the COVID-19 pandemic, for the past few years. Radio Times talked to the show’s creator, Charlie Brooker, about the possibility of a sixth season of Black Mirror in 2020. He seemed open to the idea, but not any time soon.
“I’ve been busy, doing things. I don’t know what I can say about what I’m doing and not doing. At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those. I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh.”
Black Mirror Season 6 Release Date:
Netflix hasn’t officially said that there will be season 6 of Black Mirror, so an official release date may be a long way off. As of May 16, Variety said that production is in the works, so it’s unlikely that there will be new episodes before 2023.

Black Mirror season 6 Episode Details
The new report from Variety says that season 6 of Black Mirror will have more episodes than season 5, which only had three. Season 5 had a lot of long episodes. All of them were over an hour long. The new season will also be “even more cinematic in scope, with each episode treated as a separate film.”
Who has been in the Black Mirror cast?
In the past, the show has never had trouble getting top-notch talent, and it’s hard to find a great episode that doesn’t have a talented actor or actress bringing the story to life.
Jon Hamm, Hayley Atwell, Domnhall Gleeson, Mackenzie Davis, Bryce Dallas Howard, Daniel Kaluuya, Toby Krebell, Kelly Macdonald, Jesse Plemons, Andrea Riseborough, and Letitia Wright, just to name a few, have all been in some of the best episodes of Black Mirror. Some of Netflix’s biggest stars, like Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Andrew Scott, were in the last season of Black Mirror that it put out.
It will be interesting to see who Netflix picks for season 6 of Black Mirror, but I think it’s safe to say they won’t let us down.
