In addition to being the show’s creator and executive producer, along with Chuck Lorre, Marco Pennette also serves as the show’s executive producer. B Positive is a television sitcom produced by Warner Bros. Television. As a Thursday-night entry in the 2020–21 television season, the multicamera series aired on CBS on November 5, 2020 as part of the 2020–21 television season.
Annaleigh Ashford, Thomas Middleditch, Kether Donohue, Sara Rue, Izzy G., Terrence Terrell, Linda Lavin, David Anthony Higgins, and Darryl Stephens star in the B Positive television show, which airs on the CBS television network. Hector Elizondo, Jane Seymour, Ben Vereen, Jim Beaver, and Anna Maria Horsford appear on the show as guest stars. The movie opens with Drew (Middleditch), a therapist and recently divorced father who is in desperate need of a kidney transplant as well as a new social life. His path crosses with Gina (Ashford), a troubled ex-high school classmate who generously donates one of her own kidneys to help those in need. Drew and Gina create an unexpected yet life-affirming connection as a result of their meeting. During the course of the procedure, Gina finds that the happiness she’d been searching for all along may be found in the act of giving others. The second season begins with Drew adjusting to his new life with Gina’s healthy replacement kidney. Meanwhile, Gina receives a surprising inheritance from a patient at Valley Hills, the assisted care facility where she works, and this inspires her to make a significant change in a good direction for the better.
The series was renewed for a second season in May 2021, with the first episode premiering on October 14, 2021.
B Positive Season 3 Release Date
As the second season of B Positive approaches its conclusion, viewers are eager to learn whether or not there will be a third season. However, the show’s creator, Marco Pennette, has yet to make any announcements on the show’s upcoming revival. Despite this, B Positive season 3 is expected to premiere later in 2023, at the earliest. Additionally, we may anticipate Thomas Middleditch and Annaleigh Ashford to reprise their roles, in addition to the rest of the cast members.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of B Positive averaged a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.46 million viewers in the live+same day ratings, according to the Nielsen Media Research system (includes all DVR playback through 3:00 AM). This is a decrease of 21 percent in the demo and a decrease of 4 percent in viewership in the live+same day ratings when compared to season one (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these figures do not account for additional delayed or streamed viewing, they are an excellent measure of how a show is performing, particularly when compared to other shows on the same channel. Despite the fact that other economic reasons are at play, the higher-rated programmes are more likely to be renewed while the lower-rated ones are terminated. B Positive Season 1 and 2 Recap
Season 1 premiered with a focus on Drew (Thomas Middleditch), a therapist who is the focus of the pilot episode of B Positive. In recent months, he and his wife Julia have been divorced. In the midst of his efforts to get his life back on track, he is diagnosed with the early stages of renal failure, and his health is expected to worsen if he does not have a kidney transplant as soon as possible.

While he is seeking to find a donor to save his life, he runs with Gina (Annaleigh Ashford), a former high school classmate who he recognises. Drew makes an attempt to persuade Gina to donate her kidney, and she readily agrees to the idea. As a result, they set off on a path of pure friendship with one other. The title of the show, B Positive, refers to the importance of being optimistic amid difficult conditions. The subject of the performance is brilliantly depicted throughout the show. This play will make you laugh, weep, and laugh some more. It is a must see.
Season 2 begins with the first episode, which depicts the aftermath of a successful transplant procedure. Drew and Gina are both healthy and ready to travel after being released from the hospital. As they attempt to organise themselves, they encounter a few additional difficulties. Gina is suffering at her job in the most recent episode, while Drew is dealing with his lack of social life in the previous episode. The conclusion will show what is in store for our favourite Drew and Gina in the next weeks and months.
