Actor Matthew McConaughey wishes America on July 4; Addresses the nation to be “going through puberty”

The Academy Award winner wished America a Happy Independence Day in a video he posted on social media on Sunday. He added that America is ‘Going Through Puberty’ and that, “We are going through growing pains.”

It is a known fact that the Dallas Buyers Club actor is now considering the run for the governor of Texas, his homeland. He posted a video of 2 and a half minutes in which he conveyed a lot of messages and left some people rather confused.

The 51-year-old actor posted the message with the caption, “happy 245th birthday America – lets rock.”

“As we celebrate our independence today, as we celebrate our birth as a nation, the day that kick-started a revolution to gain our sovereignty, let’s admit that this last year, this trip around the sun, was also another head-scratcher,” McConaughey remarked in the video message.

“But let’s also remember that we’re babies as a country,” he added. “We’re basically going through puberty in comparison to other countries’ time line, and we’re going to go through growing pains.”

He also didn’t disappoint his fans by adding the classic, infamous Matthew McConaughey style, Alright, Alright, Alright!

“This is not an excuse, this is just the reality, and this is good, because we gotta keep learning, we gotta keep maturing, we gotta keep striving, we gotta keep climbing, we gotta keep building,” The “Interstellar” actor continued. “And we gotta make sure we maintain hope along the way, as we continue to evolve.”

The message was clear, the welfare of The United States of America.
